Demio raked. Gutowski dealt. The 18u Moose rolled past the SB tides in an early morning showcase at Northwest Catholic High School on Saturday morning.

After blowing out a young Southington Knights ball club, followed by two losses, a Cory Carlson led Moose team was in need of a victory.

Thankfully, the Moose bats woke up for the early riser. One bat, in particular, Mike Demio. The lefty slugger blasted a bases-clearing triple as well as a rope single. Demio finished the day with four RBI's to lead the team.

The 18u Moose scored three runs in each of the first three innings to break open the rematch from last week.

Post University commit Erik Gutowski delivered a solid outing on the hill. Gutowski went five innings on six hits, five strikeouts, and four runs. Hot bats for the Moose gave Gutowski some breathing room from the getgo, allowing for a comfortable performance out of the right-hander.

The Moose were able to take down the SB Tides 10-5. They play the CT Crush at Kingswood Oxford on Sunday at 2 pm and 4 pm. Let's see if the Moose can string together some wins and roll towards a winning record.
